Description of Resource Plus Training and Development: We train, develop and mentor young individuals, students and graduates. We will train and provide you with the skills necessary to ace the interview, get the job and how to conduct yourself in the workplace.
Goal of Resource Plus Training and Development: To equip young individuals with the necessary skills to enter a workplace with the know-how and confidence needed to succeed. We will analyse your short term and long term goals so that your long term goals are intercepted into your short term goals and this forms part of your daily vision. We will work together to achieve a common vision and mission (what is your purpose in life), which will be the first stepping stone in providing the foundation (understanding what career path you would want to follow) for your successful future (achieving your long term goal) and in the hope that your dreams and happiness (chosen career field) will become a vision of hope…
Vision and Mission Statement of Resource Plus Training and Development: Being able to see what potential the youth of today has and realising that they are falling behind because their true potential is not being utilized, I decided to become a mentor and trainer to the youth of today by equipping them with a set of basic skills. These skills will provide the youth with a set of building blocks that is required to put together to create a foundation for their successful futures and careers. By being able to understand and analyse the simplest concepts in life, our confidence reaps out there will be excitement and joy when you succeed in life…
Background Information about Preshika Bennideen (The Director of Resource Plus Training and Development):
I graduated from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I pursued with my studies on a part-time basis, as I wanted to work and study. In 2011 I completed my Honours degree in Industrial Psychology through the University of South Africa (UNISA).
After working in a Recruitment Agency for 4½ years, assisting candidates in seeking employment, I have gained experience in the following:
•Screening and amending CV’s
•Reference checking
•Coaching candidates in interviews and how to dress appropriately
•Prepping candidates on how to answer questions appropriately
•Ensuring that they are computer literate
•Marketing and matching candidates to clients according to job specs
•Employment administration
•Job counseling
•Playing the middle man between the candidate and the client.
Why the NEED for Resource Plus Training and Development: Some individuals are not as fortunate as others because most of the training and development is done within companies for graduates that have already been offered bursaries, learnerships or employment.
My question is: “What happens to the remainder of the students that were regretted? Are they given some kind of assistance and preparation on how to up skill themselves?”
We all as young individuals have different dreams, ambitions and goals in life but to a certain extent we tend to become lazy or demotivated when certain negative forces play up against us, therefore by getting pushed into the right direction, we may be able to become who we want to be...
Resource Plus Training and Development will provide you with this opportunity of building your building blocks from understanding the recruitment process, career guidance, the foundations of Ms Office especially Ms Outlook, Business English and the importance of understanding companies when applying for jobs or preparing for your future.
Students may ask: “Why should I attend training on career guidance that I have to pay for, when the University offers this to me for free? My answer is that I agree 100% BUT you are gaining theoretical knowledge on career guidance and companies, I am offering you theoretical as well as PRACTICAL knowledge = the reasoning behind the framework.
