Mathematics and Physics Tutor - Johannesburg

BACKGROUND
I have been a lecturer and private tutor in Mathematics, Physics and Mechanical Engineering in South Africa for 14 years at Leseding (Welkom) and Soshanguve (Rosslyn) Technical Colleges. I offer online tutoring in Mathematics and Physics to primary and secondary school students, as well as Technical College students via Skype and Zoom. I tutor throughout the year, Monday to Friday.

ENHANCED DBS CERTIFICATE
I do have a clean and up to date Enhanced DBS Certificate.

QUALIFICATION
I qualified as High School teacher in 1984 and as lecturer in 1987. I lectured in Mathematics, Physics and Mechanical Engineering at High School and all levels at Technical College level.

METHODOLOGY and APPROACH
I tutor according to the requirements of the present official syllabi. I concentrate on laying a firm foundation of the subject matter and build confidence to apply the principles successfully. I revise work which the tutees find difficult and the work that they might not have been taught properly. I regularly revise questions from past question papers with the tutees. I give tutees homework, mark it and discuss it with them. I provide access to tutees to download my notes, past question papers and mark schemes.

ONLINE TUTORING
I tutor students (past and present) online in the UK, Germany, Portugal, Taiwan, Singapore, South Africa and Zimbabwe via SKYPE and Zoom.
