Both our resources and our vast applications experience have enabled us to develop wire mesh solutions for many customers worldwide - from blue chip multinational companies to small specialist firms with unique applications.

This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and process driven HR professional to manage an energetic team of HR Assistants and to drive efficiency improvements and implement new and revised processes where appropriate.

The goal is to deliver a people centred, professional and efficient administrative and support services, following best practice guidelines and in accordance with company procedures. The key focus is on the customer experience, quality controls, compliance, accuracy, expertise and continuous improvement.

This is a busy and varied role that will include the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• To motivate and manage a team of up to 5 HR Assistants to deliver high quality HR administrative, transactional and advisory service, covering the entire employee life cycle (starters, leavers, changes, absence).
• To proactively drive performance improvement through effective people management, including regular 1-2-1’s, coaching, feedback, performance reviews and delivering improvements to team engagement.
• To drive continuous improvement – constantly looking for opportunities and encouraging the team to come up with new or better ways of doing things.
• To act as a point of escalation for the team and to effectively manage escalated queries and ensure learnings are taken forward and solutions implemented.
• Proactive forward planning and prioritisation of workloads and resource to deliver against key objectives and tasks.
• To understand, develop and amend general HR policies in line with changes to legislation to ensure that the business is fully compliant.
• To support and advise on disciplinary, grievance and performance issues – including managing non complex casework.
• To provide regular and adhoc HR reporting and data analysis and identify actions to improve.
• To assist with HR related projects and initiatives.

Essential experience / skills / behaviours

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be an experienced HR team leader already
• Have extensive experience of HR Administration
• Have strong HR knowledge of HR processes, policies and procedures
• Have experience in coaching and developing team members
• Have ability to motivate and build a positive team environment
• Set high expectations, don’t accept average performance and address poor standards
• Be open to change and embraces new ways of working
• Challenge processes or practices to enable a better colleague experience
• Be well organised, responsive and able to work under pressure
• Have excellent verbal and written communication
• Have a keen eye for detail
