Due to our continued success and business expansion, we have an opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer (Locker Group) is responsible for the performance of all maintenance activities at the Locker Group maintenance site. They shall ensure that the requirements of the customers, management and quality regime are met, in compliance with the relevant procedures and other relevant approved manuals.

Main Duties:

• Provide leadership and expertise across the entire engineering function at Locker Group.
• Lead and manage the base engineering staff, contribute to the development of the employees under their management, and manage their conduct , welfare and discipline.
• The organisation, and supervision of all activities and procedures within the maintenance hangar.
• Advise the Maintenance Manager regarding required set up of and changes to the Maintenance Department, required for continuous compliance and improvement.
• Have arrangements in place for the provision of tools and equipment necessary to perform the required maintenance activities.
• Have arrangements in place for the provision of the approved technical manuals, information and publications necessary to perform the required maintenance activities.
• Advise on the number and level of staff required.
• Ensure adequate resource planning is carried out, liaising with other Chief Engineers within the group, to ensure manpower resources are used efficiently.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities at Locker Group are carried out in accordance with planning, approved manuals and within the Scope of Work of the maintenance organisation.
• Ensure that the environmental, health and safety conditions in the hangar are as required.
• Work with the quality department to monitor the quality of the workshops, special tools, hangar equipment and ground equipment and initial corrective actions as required.
• Deputise for the Maintenance Manager in his absence.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• B1 or B2 licensed engineer
• Safety and quality minded
• Self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
