ACTIVITIES
Assist patients with activities of daily living (mobilising, taking medications, food/fluids, elimination) ensuring patients retain as much independence as possible.
Recognise and minimize hazards in the environment.
Be able to assist the patient in a non-intrusive manner, providing companionship, support and assistance with recreational activities.
Report any changes in the patient’s condition to the Hospice At Home Nurse Team Leader.
Manage unexpected events / emergencies calmly and effectively.
