The obverse of the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II's right-profile portrait. Her portrait is surrounded by inscriptions of her name, the nation of issue as well as the coin's face value.
The reverse of the coin depicts the classic red kangaroo design by Dr Stuart Devlin AO CMG. A new authentication feature has a micro-laser engraved letter "A" which is only visible under magnification.
