Actuarial Analyst
Sandton, Gauteng
3 year degree with a major in mathematics, actuarial science or statistics. Good progress with the CT examinations – completion of all CT subjects will be an advantage
2 years life insurance or employee benefits experience
Experience within a Group Risk / Employee Benefits environment or within the Life Insurance Industry will be beneficial
Primarily accountable for the development and implementation of group risk products and technical marketing of Life Group Risk products
Working on group risk product innovation and design, including product specs and policy wording This will include answering any product related queries that arise from time to time. Ensuring that all policy documents are in line with Life’s standards
Assisting with marketing material and sign-off of documentation. Liaising with reinsurers on the provision and
approval of benefit features
Conduct technical presentations for existing and potential clients
Develop group risk marketing material
Develop technical marketing tools
Work closely with the marketing, communication and distribution teams Work closely with other product houses in in collaboration efforts
Conduct group risk training and accreditation to intermediaries. Conduct group risk training to internal Life staff
Processing of new and existing business quotes
Development and enhancement of pricing models Development and enhancement of quote models. Conduct experience investigations
Strong knowledge of life insurance principles and employee benefits
Strong knowledge of Client Services
Strong Business acumen
Advanced relationship building & networking skills at all levels
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and delegate where appropriate
Ability to anticipate and manage change
Innovative thinking and delivery
