I am a petrol and diesel mechanic with over 23 years experience doing the following duties:
•Undertaking all repairs to engine, gearboxes, diffs, steering boxes and pumps
•Correcting vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
•Ensuring that the customers’ vehicles booked for service and repairs are done on time and that all job cards were completed for costing
•Ensuring that all work that comes into the workshop is undertaken within budget costs to the satisfaction of the user department
I hold a Grade one Motor Mechanic, including Diesel and Tractor Mechanics Certificate Issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Zimbabwe. I have been in charge of more than 50 vehicles and 8 drivers at any one time.
