Marketing Manager - Johannesburg

Duties & Responsibilities
•CRUX – (external newsletter) interviewing, writing, editing, photography, working with designer, proof reading etc.
•Chatter – (internal newsletter) interviewing, writing, editing, photography, working with the designer, proof reading etc.
•Media for Compass, Compass Cares, Daniels Sharpsmart Compass and CSI projects – determine newsworthy angles, take photos, resize and caption photos, source the information, write the press release, obtain approval, distribute to the media and follow up.
•Assist the following departments with campaigns
•Internal communication
•Help to source ambassadors, set up photo shoots and liaise with the media.
•Publicity – determine newsworthy angles, take photos, resize and caption photos, source the information, write the press release, obtain approval, distribute to the media and follow up.
•Work with the external designer and oversee the artwork for all the campaigns as well as the website and Facebook.
•Update the Facebook page with relevant posts / information which boosts the campaign and the image of Compass.
•Guide the marketing administrator and ensure that they are fulfilling their job description and allocated responsibilities. This requires holding regular meetings, providing feedback and doing quarterly 121s.
Desired Experience & Qualification
•Grade 12 certificate is required
•5 years generalist Marketing / PR / Communication experience is required
•PR/ Marketing Qualification
•A relevant leadership/ training course
•Strong general administration
•Computer literate
